The Weimar Poetry Film Award stands for an independent and competent awarding process. The jury is international and consists of three jurors with expertise in the fields of poetry, film production or critic, and festival organization. The competition films are nominated by a program commission. During the festival, the jury selects the winners of the Jury Awards in the categories “Best Animation” and “Best Real Film”. Both awards are endowed with €1,200. A € 250 audience awar will also be awarded by the cinema audience.

Moderation: Laura Paloma (Frankfurt am Main) & Micha Kunze (Cologne)
Laura Paloma (GER) is a presenter, slam poet, and event organizer from Frankfurt (Main). In her presentations, you’ll find everyday anecdotes, poetic outbursts, and above all: a high level of entertainment. Her interest in playing with words goes hand in hand with her love for film – for example, she has been publishing the “lyrical film advent calendar” for 5 years now.
Micha Kunze (GER) is a freelance editor, spoken-word artist, and filmmaker from Cologne. For over ten years, he has been performing his poetry on stages across Europe. Since 2019, he has been releasing his musically accompanied texts on all major streaming platforms. His poetry films are currently being screened at international film festivals and have won numerous awards.
Concert: Lori Usai & Band (Weimar)
I’m LORI USAI, and I make music with all the emotions that are finally allowed to be loud. In love that is no longer defused, but ignited. I believe that everything is more beautiful when you share it. That’s why I bring my family on stage: the supportive emotional band with Kathi on keys, Rico on drums, Enrico on bass, and Paul on guitar. Together we create emotional spaces where no one feels alone.
Where we catch each other, lose each other, and find each other again. Where, for a moment, everything is allowed to be. (at the same time) ❤️

Wind Down: ENEVENUE (DJ Set)
Nicolás “ENEVENUE” Quintero, originally from Colombia, explores the intersection between traditional latin american rhythms with contemporary club sounds. Their aim is to create a living, intentional and breathing mix in every performance, that guides the listener into a state of flow, where they can enjoy the present moment to the fullest.
