Animation: Anya Ryzhkova

A wolf-like figure awakens in a world threatened by fire and decay. It senses that everything around it is disappearing, without understanding why—almost blind,
unable to see the obvious. But then it begins to see the truth: huge, destructive feet trample through the world, setting everything on fire, dragging the past and the future alike into darkness.
In the end, there is only one thing left for it to do: save itself.

In the presence of the Aleph, he not only experiences the infinite, but must also confront the nature of memory and transience.

The Filmmakers

Serie Poetry Clips | Literarische Gesellschaft Thüringen

Sandra Reyes is a filmmaker born and raised in Colombia. She worked in sound design for films for most of her career, until she discovered her fascination with analogue animation. A few years ago, she started exploring poetry films, contributing to productions such as Cadaver Exquisito, a film created in collaboration with writer Thomas Empl; El canto de las moscas, an animated film based on the poetry collection by María Mercedes Carranza and directed by Ana María Vallejo; and Weisse Wildnis, a long poem by Daniela Danz.

Milad Rezaei is an artist, educator and poet. Through his art, he strives to establish pathways, spaces of belonging, and situations of compassion, fostering a sense of unity within the evolving global landscape. Fascinated by the writings of the Iranian religious founder Bahá’u’lláh (1817–1892), he is currently translating his mystical writings into the language of art, building a bridge between these worlds.
