Friedrich Herrmann
Friedrich Herrmann, who grew up in Erfurt and Jena, is one of a very select few: a stand-up comedian from Thuringia. He got his start in the poetry slam scene. For over 10 years, he has been touring throughout the German-speaking world with his material and stories. In Erfurt, he is known, among other things, as the host of “Gelungener Abend.”
Dean Ruddock
Dean Ruddock was born in Paderborn as a result of various waves of migration.
He writes poetry, spoken word, and prose; creates sound art, music, and short films; and works as a curator and media artist.
His focus is on adapting texts for other media, as well as on the intersection of sociopolitical issues and artistic perspectives on them. He pays particular attention to postcolonial themes.

Micha Kunze
Micha Kunze is a freelance editor, spoken-word artist, and filmmaker from Cologne. For over ten years, he has been performing his poetry on stages across Europe. Since 2019, he has been releasing his musically accompanied texts on all major streaming platforms. His poetry films are currently being screened at international film festivals and have won numerous awards.
Yasmin Abbas
Yasmin Abbas is a writer and photographer based in Germany. Writing is at the heart of her work—an attempt to make the body, memory, and internal and external tensions linguistically tangible. Her works oscillate between condensation and rupture, seeking to capture that which defies clear definition.
Since 2019, she has been active in the field of performative literature and is regularly featured on stage and in anthologies.
In 2022, her collection of stories, which she illustrated herself, was published by story.one; further literary publications are scheduled for 2026.
Laura Paloma
Laura Paloma moves between words and images, between slang and film grain, rhyme and closing credits. The Frankfurt-based presenter hosts cultural events of all kinds and shows that the art of celebration doesn’t always have to be rigid. As a film scholar and slam poet, she combines what she sees and hears, telling stories from everyday life, lighthearted thoughts, and whatever else comes to mind.
