Alexander König

Dr. phil. Alexander König is a media theorist, audiovisual artist, and developer of real-time and AI-based media systems. He teaches AI systems, real-time video, and digital media environments at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, where he also leads the Digital Bauhaus Lab (DBL) at the Faculty of Art and Design. His work combines technical system development, artistic practice, and media-theoretical reflection, focusing on machinic perception, artificial intelligence, and audiovisual real-time processes. König received his doctorate under the supervision of Diedrich Diederichsen at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna and has collaborated with the Animationsinstitut of the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg on experimental real-time and media projects.

Yvonne Al-Taie is a private lecturer and temporary academic advisor at the Institute for Modern German Literature and Media at Christian-Albrechts-University in Kiel, where she conducts research on German-language literature from the perspectives of media aesthetics and cultural theory. She studied art history, modern German literature, and systematic theology at Saarland University and Trinity College Dublin, and earned her Ph.D. in German literature from Friedrich Schiller University in Jena. Research stays have taken her to Yale University, the University of Bern, and the Klassik Stiftung Weimar, among others. She is currently working as a fellow at the Alfried Krupp Wissenschaftskolleg Greifswald on a research project on contemporary German-language poetry and poetry film titled “Zeltwort: Situative Poetics of Contemporary Poetry in Late Modernity.

Martina Pfeiler

Martina Pfeiler works as a professor of Anglophone literary and cultural studies in Linz and teaches at the Department of English and American Studies at the University of Vienna. She received her doctorate from TU Dortmund for her work on U.S.-American intermedial poetry of the 20th and 21st centuries and her habilitation thesis on the early reception of Moby-Dick in popular culture. From 2021 to 2024, she was Vice-PI of the ERC/FWF-funded project “Poetry Off the Page: Literary History and the Spoken Word” at the University of Vienna. In addition to interviews with British poets, this project resulted in a collaborative book entitled In the Event of Poetry: Contemporary British Poetry Performance in Context, forthcoming by Palgrave in 2026. Further publications include Poetry Goes Intermedia:  US Poetry of the 20th and 21st Centuries from a Cultural and Media Studies Perspective (Francke Verlag), and Sounds of Poetry: Contemporary American Performance Poets (Narr Verlag) as well as book chapters and articles on poetry films and the popularization of British and US poetry, including through live-streaming. She is co-editor of the poetry slam anthology Pott Meets Poetry: The First Illustrated Slam Anthology of the Ruhr Area (Lektora Verlag). She is part of the Target. Reply Arts Visuals and Poetry team and served as a jury member in 2026. Co-organizer of the Poetry Film Festival in Vienna.
