aber hi! Typographic exhibition

A project within the framework of the Poetryfilmtage of the course “einDrucksvoll”. Students of the Bauhaus University Weimar have produced typographic experiments in cooperation with Pavillon-Presse Weimar. These are an artistic interpretation of the poem “aber hi!” by the performer and poet Ulrike Almut Sandig. The exhibition in the 11m^3 project space directly addresses the conditions of the location and plays with the dimensions of visibility/concealment as well as dialogue and contact.
The exhibition was conceived by the course participants under the direction of Catalina Giraldo Velez as part of the Poetryfilmtage 2023.

New year, new visuals

This year it’s all about Greece. That’s what inspired Maria Fernanda SĂĄnchez creating the design for this years poetryfilmtage festival.
To print this version of our poster we used a technique called risograph printing, a technique that has been developed in Japan and used since the 80s.
This amazing opportunity was given to us by the Risographie Atelier vibora_riso in Manizales, Colombia. What do you think about the new visuals?

SAVE THE DATE: The festival will be taking place from May 20th – 22nd in. The online library will be online for one more week after this.

Thank you!

Videohaiku Workshop

25.03.2022

Videohaiku Workshop

Haikus — these are short poems originating from Japan, which rely on an extreme compression of its content within three verses. This atmospheric energy is now supposed to be visually recreated: Video haikus are compact poetry films in which the form of the haiku is interpreted and adapted visually. In the workshop we discuss and examine forms and possibilities of this adaptation into the medium of video. The workshop is instructed by the media-artist Ana Vallejo. The results will be presented at the festival. The workshop is a cooperation with the ACC Galerie Weimar and takes place between the 1st and 2nd of April. You can sign up with an e-mail to kultur@acc-weimar.de.
